Moodle Releases — Usage Examples
MoodleReleasesFiltered renders a static (non-interactive) table of Moodle
version data, filtered and sorted via props. All props are optional —
omitting a prop means "no filter" / default sort.
Basic usage
Show everything, default sort (newest version first):
<MoodleReleasesFiltered />
Filtering by status
filterStatus accepts a single token, or an array of tokens combined with
AND. Valid tokens: "active", "security", "lts", "eol",
"future", "experimental". Prefix any token with ! to negate it.
Only currently-supported LTS branches
<MoodleReleasesFiltered filterStatus={["lts", "security"]} />
Upcoming releases only
<MoodleReleasesFiltered filterStatus="future" />
Security-only branches, sorted by security end date
<MoodleReleasesFiltered filterStatus="security" sortCol="securityEndDate" />
All LTS branches, including past ones
<MoodleReleasesFiltered filterStatus="lts" />
LTS branches that are NOT end-of-life
Combine an array with a negated token:
<MoodleReleasesFiltered filterStatus={["lts", "!eol"]} />
Everything except end-of-life branches
<MoodleReleasesFiltered filterStatus="!eol" />
LTS branches currently in security-only maintenance
<MoodleReleasesFiltered filterStatus={["lts", "security"]} />
Filtering by series
filterSeries matches the major version prefix (e.g. "4" matches 4.0,
4.1, 4.5, etc. — not 14.x, since the match is on "4.").
All 4.x branches, oldest first
<MoodleReleasesFiltered filterSeries="4" sortCol="releaseDate" sortDir={1} />
5.x LTS branches only
<MoodleReleasesFiltered filterSeries="5" filterStatus="lts" />
Text search
search does a plain substring match against the version name.
<MoodleReleasesFiltered search="4.1" />
Sorting
sortCol accepts "name", "status", "releaseDate", "generalEndDate",
"securityEndDate", or "count" (number of patch releases). sortDir is
-1 (descending, default) or 1 (ascending).
Branches with the most patch releases first
<MoodleReleasesFiltered sortCol="count" sortDir={-1} />
Hiding the patch releases column
Pass hidePatchReleases to drop that column entirely — useful for a more
compact summary table.
<MoodleReleasesFiltered filterStatus="active" hidePatchReleases />
Combining everything
Active or security-only 4.x branches, oldest first, no patch releases column:
<MoodleReleasesFiltered
filterSeries="5"
filterStatus={["active"]}
sortCol="releaseDate"
sortDir={1}
hidePatchReleases
/>
Reference: filterStatus tokens
| Token | Matches |
|---|---|
active | Currently in general support |
security | Past general support, still receiving security fixes |
eol | No longer supported |
future | Not yet released |
experimental | Marked experimental, regardless of dates |
lts | isLTS === true, regardless of lifecycle stage |
!<token> | Negates any of the above, e.g. !eol, !lts |
Arrays combine tokens with AND: ["lts", "active"] means "LTS AND active".
